About Us

The Cakery is a Specialty Bakery located in Albany, Oregon.

"Elegant Lace Impressions" is a line of cake decorating molds produced by The Cakery. We started selling the molds in 1997 at an annual cake decorators' convention which took place at Disney World. We found a material that was flexible and we believe they are easy to use.

We are a small company and are able to offer personal service to our customers. We occasionally do custom molding. With the assistance of my husband, Clyde, our regular orders are usually shipped the next business day.

How we got started

After our two daughters were off to college, I returned to school and got my degree as Pastry Chef. During my training I won Best of Show in the Chef's Grand Salon.

I have been a member of ICES (International Cake Exploration Societe) for many years, serving as Oregon State Rep and Sec/Treas. I was the Co-Show Director for ICES Portland, Oregon 2001 Convention, also an international judge, demonstrator and teacher.

Our Return Policy

We at The Cakery want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. That is why we personally inspect every item's quality before it is shipped. If you receive a product that is defective, we will gladly replace it for you, provided the following conditions are met:

The product has not been used. An exchange or refund will not be given for products that have been used or products that have been damaged as the result of customer misuse or neglect.

In the event of a refund, The Cakery will credit your charge card or issue a check to you within 10 days from the receipt of the returned items.

Defective Products - Some of our molds are made from natural products (such as seashells) that may appear to be imperfect. This is the way they were created so this will not be considered as a defect.
